World's Largest Offshore Wind Farm Comes to London http://www.energy-broker.co.uk/worlds-largest-offshore-wind-farm-comes-to-london/

The renewable energy sector in the UK received a shot in the arm late last week as the world’s largest offshore wind farm was opened on July 4th. None other than Prime Minister David Cameron was on hand to cut the ribbon at the London Array, a flagship renewable energy development that the government hopes will both underline it’s support for the growing wind power sector in the UK and show investors such large-scale projects can be a success in Britain.

Owned and operated by DONG Energy, Masdar and E.On, the 630MW-capacity wind farm has been up and running in the Thames estuary since April. However, it wasn’t officially opened until the Prime Minister and Climate Change Minister Greg Barker christened the facility this week.
