Green energy firm gets £1m cash boost |

SenseLogix, developer of energy management software for IT systems is benefitting from funding worth £1m.

UK-based SenseLogix is commecialising its EnergyLogix technology, setting up a new head office in Cheshire and has plans to expand its headcount to over 45 by 2015 to support business growth.

SenseLogix was established in 2009 to develop a series of energy measurement and control products designed to eliminate the electrical waste of IT systems and other small power items.  Its customers include Gwynedd Council, Wolseley UK, University of Derby, Tallent Automotive and Helix Property Management. 

The invesment was led by the North West Fund for Energy and Environmental and managed by CT Investment Partners.  

“Through our partnership with The North West Fund and CT Investment Partners we aim to continue our success in the emerging energy services sector by providing robust, intuitive and cost-effective energy management solutions for building users,” said Jonathan Luke, chief executive and co-founder of SenseLogix.

The company has been involved with the Carbon Trust’s Entrepreneurs Fast Track Programme.

EnergyLogix is an energy management platform that includes metering systems, aMT software, energy and carbon reporting tools, PC power management, socket and equipment control, voltage optimisation and renewable generation dashboards, and energy dashboards designed to support behavioural change of energy users.

The North West Fund was established to provide debt and equity funding (from £50,000 to £2m) to small and medium sized enterprises based in, or relocating to, the North West of England.

The Fund said it addresses an identified gap in the lending, venture capital and private equity markets.
