Latest UK Gas Prices

British prompt gas prices rose more than 5 percent on Monday morning as supply fell short of demand while lower temperatures boosted gas burn in heaters and power plants nationwide.

Gas for delivery in the next working week hit a 13-day high at 61 pence-per-therm on a downward revised temperature forecast following extended mild weather conditions this week.
Next week [temperatures] should be in line with seasonal norms, with this week staying about 1 to 2 degrees Celsius above norms,” a trader with a UK utility said.

Gas for immediate delivery gained 2 pence at 59 pence as cooler forecast temperatures on Monday and Tuesday spurred demand, overtaking supplies by 17 million cubic meters/day (mcm/day).
