The government opened on 7 January a consultation on amending the Gas and Electricity Regulated Providers (Redress Scheme) Order 2008 “to help smaller businesses”.The Order requires licensed energy providers who supply domestic and micro business customers to join a redress scheme operated by the Ombudsman Service: Energy. This enables those businesses to access a redress, or compensation, scheme in the event that they are unable to resolve a complaint with their energy supplier directly.
