A group of UK corporates including Cisco, consumer goods maker PZ Cussons and utility SSE have called on the government to commit itself to a carbon-free power base by 2030.

In a letter to the government, also signed by Dong Energy and shipbuilder Harland & Wolff, the companies call for the government to step-up to switch UK energy supplies, according to a report in the Financial Times.
