A spokesman for the Danish firm told Utility Week it was not true that the acquisition was a done deal but admitted both parties were in negotiations. "If those negotiations are finalised we will issue a stock market statement" he said. That was likely to be "weeks not days" away, he added. Shell would not comment on the story.
